In that configuration (shortened wings :)) there would be not enough lift at lower speeds. So probably slowing down is not an option here if one wants to make it in one piece. I did this kind of experiments on Su-25T a few months ago, and IIRC the minimum speed (for straight and level) was in a neighbourhood of 500 km/h.

i must say SU-25T looks much better with shortened wings.....he he....:):)
