mulishaknight Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 (edited) So this is my very first attempt at home cockpit building. Maybe someone could have a look. Maybe i wired something wrong. I am pretty sure i did this correct although i have no electrical knowledge. (also i don't know how to wire my leds to a single pull double throw switch to work when the too switches are thrown :(. I dont understand) My wood order was placed and should be here soon to start my build. Also i understand the flight data recorder has no function in DCS. My purpose for doing this mod was to maybe interact with recording teamspeak chat along with fraps or maybe even to a hotkey on a webcam so when the sim is done friends can record what they want and get a dvd. WildBillKelsoe Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 This is epic. I think I might do something like this but with my older DCS lappy. I was thinking of a HUD exporter to a video capture card, but then my head movements would be also recorded even at Alt+F1. Maybe even put a dedicated HUD GPU (low end) and derive output to a DVD recorder. Perhaps one day we could. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
mulishaknight Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 Yeah this was something I did not see don't and thought could be a simple beginner job. Not to bad I just can't wait to get the pit built next month going with mdf bboard. And limebug plans. Only thing I could not figure out was the leds. (I did see the vid on led hook up but that was a illimunated switch) not sure it's the same. Next will prob be the apu switches.sorry for grammer ....itouch
