Kameni Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 So...it is work in progress, inspired by colors of Serbian MiG29. There are faults, but it is work in progress, so... But if there's something drasticly wrong - say it man :D 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Kameni Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 There will be some low visibility decals and couple of fixes to the current state applied. After I finish it, I'll put it for download on Main Site 1
badger66 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Well , its a bit on the plain side but , for a first skin your certainly heading in the right direction ..... well done that man :) +1
Kameni Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 Well, I didn't want to hop into complicated skins immediately. And...it is not so plain to make all parts fit when you wrap it around 3D model :D Not if you're new in skinning :D And remember it's a work-in-progress :) Thanks :)

Im very impressed with it , and I don't even realize what goes on in doing this . Thats why I gave you a +1 rep , impressed and looking forward to when you learn more and let your imagination run riot :) If I had a go at it , you would probably get some kinda green blob !!! :D Ahen ..... this is an example of an Irish Air corps roundel that might look good ..... considering the modern camo is very much like your above pics : https://si0.twimg.com/profile_images/1108099066/600px-Irish_Air_Corps_roundel_svg.png ..... nudge nudge :) Edited April 23, 2013 by badger66
Kameni Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 (edited) Oh , please don't get me wrong No, no, nothing like that :) As for roundel, I'll probably get more into skinning from now, since I always wanted to. I work in graphic industry, so it's kinda not a big bother to me, since I obviously like flying :pilotfly: I want to make some skins made according to real-life paint schemes, but having a go with stuff like this is what attracts me as well. :) I hope I'll be a good addition to skinning community. As for the process of creating itself, it's a bit buggy at start, before you get to know the skin-model (let's just call it like that), you know - the joints and stuff...but I check changes in a live preview in DCS. not bad. I wish you good luck Thanks mate, it's an honour to be praised by someone with a lot more experience :) Edited April 23, 2013 by Kameni
Kameni Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Save me! -.- I have not found alpha channel in the "TailFin" file, neither saving in a file format that doesn't support transparency helps. How the heck did this happen? Does anyone know in which specific file is this texture (inner part of the drag schute cover)?
