AMVI_Grape Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Hello, I have the following situation. My Win 7 partition (with DCS products) don't want to boot anymore. But I'm able to access to this partition from another boot partition. Can I recover the activation? Can I deactivate the product and reinstall? Ciao,
Jona33 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 If you run "protect.exe" which should be in DCS world\Bin I think you should be given an option to deactivate which means you will not use a license if you're messing around with the computer and suspect you might want to use one. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
cichlidfan Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I don't think you will be able to deactivate because the OS that you are able to boot does not have DCS data in it's registry. Without that protect.exe is not going to see any activated DCS products. EtherealN Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Cichlidfan is most likely correct. However, you can simply activate again. Problems like this is why we have multiple activations and the AAA system that replaces the last activation automatically after 30 days.
