Assigning Bomb & Rocket release buttons

Hi folks,

for the sake of god, I am not able to assign one button for both bombs

ans I am not able to assing a trigger to release rockets.

 

This must sound dumb, but I am completely lost...

I am using a G940 and tried to program the software to use the keys but that didnt work. Tbh I am a friend of assigning the joystick buttons etc directly to the the control menu of P51 game.

 

So when i understood the manual correct, it should be possible to use one release button, but switch within the bombs control panel to reight and left.

1. what is the assignment (name) to release both bombs?

2. what is the assignment (name) to release rockets?

You need the weapons release button which is default to button two (same button for both depending on switches). To drop bombs singly set the switch to Bombs single, to release them both have it set to bombs train. Have a look at the weapons tutorial in the game.

Go into the P-51 sim in options controls and it is the weapon release, which is RAlt+space by default.

 

Press RAlt+space in the controls and it will jump there with out needing to find it in the list.

You will need to set another key to switch between bomb and rocket selection., or switch with the mouse in the virtual cockpit.

Go to the P-51 Quick Start Guide (it is in the <install path>\Mods\aircrafts\P-51D\Doc folder) and start on the bottom of page 28.

 

The basic problem you are having is that there is not one button for either item. There is a weapon release button which releases weapons based on the settings of other switches in the cockpit.
