Rykane Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hey guys, I bought Black Shark 2 about a year ago but haven't had the time to play it. I've decided to start playing it again and have found a x-52 pro profile for the game. I started the game up and found that the slider on the throttle controlled the collective and removed the slider and assigned JOY_Z (the throttle) as the collective axis. Now, when i go back into the game it seems that when i leave the throttle idle in a certain position the collective in-game moves up and down automatically without any input by myself on the throttle. I am wondering if this is a problem that is known and if there is a solution. Any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance.
Goltred Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Have you checked how the throttle behaves in the controller properties page??... It has happened to me before that the PS2 cables were poorly connected (or just damaged) and i got a ton of problems because of that. Hell, even now i still have some issues with the controller that it starts blinking wildly and i lose all calibration of it. Sadly, support told me that the 2 reasons for that would be a bad PS2 cable or a faulty controller.

Yeah it is absolutely fine with other aircraft and i checked the device properties in the device manager and it doesn't move around like it does in-game.
Devrim Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Do you have Saitek rudder pedals? Same axis may be assigned on pedals too. May be you must "clear" it. Rykane Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) It happens when i have my hands off the HOTAS and i don't have any rudder pedals so it's not that. Edited May 3, 2013 by Rykane
Rykane Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 I've tested it out further by pressing right control + enter to open the axis panel. When i put my throttle to 0% the in-game collective goes upto 100% and sometimes moves in variation between different positions without any input. I checked the axis within the control panel while it was doing this and it was showing no movement in the device properties. I have a feeling its something to do in-game but I'm not sure what. I thought it might have been the x-52 pro black shark 1 profiles i was using as i cannot find any x-52 pro black shark 2 profiles anywhere. I don't think that is the problem.
karambiatos Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 put the profile for BS2 on default then assign the axis you need your self. also check if the same's happening in windows or in your drivers where its jumping around 1 A 1000 flights, a 1000 crashes, perfect record. =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC"] Check out my random mods and things
Goltred Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I don't have that problem with my X52 Pro, and i doubt the profile is the problem unless you changed the throttle to work as bands or something else. Double check the axis assignments... maybe try clearing every assignment for the controller and check if you might have anything else bothering (TrackIR, Mouse, other controllers, etc.). Then reassign them and check if you see the twitching in the Axis Tune screen. Also, just in case, try connecting the controller on a different USB port and repeating the tests again. If you wish i can provide you with my profile but i really doubt that's the issue (also, if you don't have a TrackIR you will need to modify it since i'm using all HAT Switches for different buttons) 1
Rykane Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) I seem to have fixed the problem above by restarting my computer. I also have managed to fix the oscillating collective issues. It turns out the throttle in the profile i was using had the NUM+ and NUM- buttons assigned the throttle + and throttle -, in-game the collective under keyboard was set to collective NUM+ and NUM- so i cleared these keys and it seems to be working now. Goltred, If you could provide your profile anyway i would be grateful and I do have TrackIR. Edited May 3, 2013 by Rykane Solution Found
Goltred Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Here you can download the profile: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r6mhj2iz973ku89/4uY1z3RgGo Please have in mind that i'm still a newb in this and that i only took the commands that looked useful to me. What i had in mind when i created the profile was to be capable of doing all the critical stuff without getting my hands from the controller because it just takes too long for me to grab the mouse and click a switch when in the middle of manouvers or of a hover :P I was thinking on adding the fire extinguishers and Cutoff valves to some buttons over there too... it's hard to activate those when you have a fire on an engine and a failed engine in the air. Be careful with the key mapping on the profile, my keyboard is in Spanish so i might have used some keys that you might not have. Let me know if everything went smooth with it, and any suggestion is appreciated.
