Set up the Mission (free flight Black Sea, runway start) took off and flew south to Baslan. Now to practice ILS at Baslan on runway 10 (inbound QDM 086 degs M !!!). After several attempts to catch the inbound I saw that the runway extended centre-line went through the cleft in the range at 15 miles out where the big river is. Turned on there and found the centre-line using the beam bar with no problem.

However, after tracking steadily for about 3 miles the beam bar went to full scale fly left instantly. Hmmmm! Turned left and after a couple of miles re-established on beam bar. After about another 2 miles the beam bar went full scale fly right. Again re-established and followed beam bar to landing.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it only at Baslan?

Another question - what is the fat white left-pointing arrow-head on the glide-path scale? I have found no description relating to it anywhere.:book:

(I don't mean the glide-path indicator - this fat arrow-head is more than twice the size of the glide-path indicator).

Crate of virtual beer to the first correct answer.
