auto update says its installed, but version number still 1.2.3

I'm trying to install the 1.2.4 update. Everytime I run the DCS world updater it says a new update is available. I click yes and it downloads (takes about 5 seconds) and it installs. Then World is launched, but version numbers stays 1.2.3.9871. Every time I launch the auto updater I jump through the same hoop.

 

Am I doing something wrong?

Did you try doing a repair first maybe?

When I repair I get a 404 server error. Seems I have to do the step mentioned here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104937

EDIT: yes, it's now downloading about 1GB of files
