Best way to configure HOTAS Warthog

To map and configure your HOTAS for the HUEY, would you do it in TARGET software, or do it in the DCS options panel.

Pros and cons of the different methods please. Thank you.

STP Dragan has made a Wart Hog profile,It's very good IMO.You could start with this and make changes to suit your own taste.

For DCS I always directly map the commands for the HOTAS in the game. I have no use for TARGET here.

Btw have mapped my hotas in DCS controller options, but would like to hear

different opinions reg. choice of mapping mode.

Mapped my hotas for the KA-50 long time ago in DCS, and after updates i need to redo that.

Somehow it got reset.

 

Sidenote: KA-50 does not feel realistic anymore after flying the Huey.

Or do you just forget how it was the first time with that particular FM ?
