Controller assign not deconflicting

I set up my joystick again for FC3. The button presses were assigned to default setting such a centre view, laser on etc...

 

But when I manually assigned them to what I wanted I was not notified of anything conflicting.

So before if I assigned button 3 to weapon launch and it was used by default for centre view then it would clear centre view and replace it with weapons launch.

 

But now it's keeping both and i'v to manually go through to find the other button that it is set to by default and clear it.

A quick work around is to clear the config before you start assigning things, that way there will be no conflicts unless you create them.
