Not sure if this is a bug. Or how the VOR system works. or maybe a combination of the two. I have a friend of mine who made a mission, In this mission he set up one of the units to play a song on feq 124.00. Now the VHF AM and the Nav com both picks up the radio station on 124 and plays the music and you can adjust the volume with it. But the VOR needles dont work when the Nav com is selected to 124. But you can still here the radios playing across the nav-com radio.

Thanks

Both those radios are AM, (although the ARN-82 picks up a FM subcarrier modulated at 30Hz from the VOR/ILS system) also it seemed to be modelled in DCS that you have to be in ILS range to get navigation info(for AM). With FM and NDB i've tested it out to 50 miles but ILS seems to be with-in 5-10 miles of the source for navigation. Since we mostly use AM in the sim (especially the huey because no JTAC) i'd have him use the FM channels.

Side benefit of using FM is that in the Huey you can use the HOME(ing) function and it would serve a dual purpose. So when I made my test mission I set my "radio station" for music at the waypoint I was heading to.
