kontiuka Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I know how to adjust the radar elevation but is there a way to adjust it so it is looking below your plane? It seems the lowest it goes is zero which is your plane's altitude. How would you find targets below your plane without actually pitching the nose of the plane down? Thx.
Cali Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 0 is the ground, not your jets altitude. Depending on how far the enemy is away from you, you may have to decrease your search range from 80>60>40>20. i7-4820k @ 3.7, Windows 7 64-bit, 16GB 1866mhz EVGA GTX 970 2GB, 256GB SSD, 500GB WD, TM Warthog, TM Cougar MFD's, Saitek Combat Pedals, TrackIR 5, G15 keyboard, 55" 4K LED
EtherealN Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Also note that pointing the nose down while in BVR mode does not point the radar dish down. It will remain on your setting relative to the horizon until it hits gimbal limits. (Flood mode and similar acquisition modes are a different thing, of course.) kontiuka Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 ok, thanks. I don't know where I got it in my head that it was relative altitude.
