Hello All!

I'm having an issue with my P-51 mod, it ran properly with my other machine however, after installing it on the new machine (which has been running all other DCS mods without incident for some time now) it won't let me fly.

Each time I load the mod whether in Single Player or Multi Player, the MOD will load but it loads in "F-2" screen only (for single player) and won't load at all under multi-player.

I get a "CTD" if I attempt to "ALT-J" into another air frame and I'm back to desk top.

I've tried reloading the mod on several occasions and re-activating the licenses multiple times with no joy.

After this latest patch I noticed there's a "Module Manager" tab and after clicking on it I can see my serial number is listed I've also tried downloading it from that same options tab under "available add ons" but I get another error stating:

Error

check("C:\Users\TEH\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\update\e6\e63d190cb9d64ed0f7927deb506d9c1b5600bb34ab5c5dac3ce8627431130c37"): (3) The system cannot find the path specified.

OK

I've looked in AppData and as stated above that folder is not present.

Any thoughts and or any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time!

Try downloading the newest version available here and reinstall. Hope that works.

Or hopefully someone more helpful will come into the thread ;)

Thanks! I'll give it a try...I attempted to do that (or so I think anyway) via the "Module Manager-Additional Add-ons". But I'll try this as well. Here's hoping! (fingers crossed)

Ok, tried redownloading and installing as you suggested with no joy.

same situation as before...after launching mod, it starts in "F-2" view and will not allow me access to the cockpit..."Alt-J" causes CTD. :-(

well, I suppose that would cause it if I were making a map or editing one...but fact is, in "Instant Action", "Quick Mission" or "Campaign" the results are all the same...

Starts in "F-2" view-non flyable, I just get to watch 2 "AI" dueling it out. As I stated before, it DID work at one point.

here is a good way to "restart" DCS...

1- Uninstall DCS World

2- Delete Saved Games/DCSW

3- Open Regedit, remove keys for Eagle Dynamics (World/Mustang ONLY)

4- Open Program files, make sure DCS World is gone.

5- Restart.

6- Do a fresh install, restart after every install.

^ this got me away from any problems. The new manager lets you copy your serial for module activation. Use it. Report back.

What might be happening is that DCS World is not seeing that you own this module. You may need to reactivate your P-51D module. Dont worry too much about using an activation as they regenerate one per month.

I have had similar problems and now I keep a zip file that will delete the registy entry for the key of each module that I own. You can find it here:

DCS_regDelKeys.zip

Maulkin, Thanks for your suggestion, I'll try that. However if it doesn't work then I suppose I'll have to "clean house" as WildBill suggested. In any event, Thank you both for your info!

What mod are you running? They have been slowly changing some files around and it could be a conflicting problem. Does your P-51 work without the mod? If so you need to start digging through the mod and find out what parts need to be corrected to work with any new file system ED is using.

I don't recall using any mods for P-51. Haven't downloaded any or made any changes.
