Useful when trying to setup new key binds. Sucks having to quit, edit, then have to wait for the game to reload every time u want to alter a key

Yep, the same can be said for all settings, such as Graphics options. You would get a really good sense of what performance (and visual) gains or impacts each setting had if you could change it "on the fly".

Another one would be Audio Sliders. If I could adjust these in game, for the first time in over Ten years of Lockon/DCS I would able to get an idea of what each slider actually effects and properly balance the sound to my liking.

The one big thing blocking any of this for the foreseeable future? The way the game is split into two separate .exes, one for the Game and one for the Front end. Not 100% sure why they made it like this, probably a good reason I'm sure.

It would be nice if one day we could customize the sims options and settings while we are actually playing.

The guys over at Rise Of Flight did it a while ago and it was a very welcome change.

The reason, IIRC, had to do with 32bit memory space. The executable had to be split in order to fit. Obviously, this issue will no longer apply once 32bit support is completely abandoned but it would probably still require a considerable bit of work to rebuild/combine the main exes.
