View problem

Hi ...

 

I am new to the sim and wonder: Is there a way to default to a simple, fixed forward cockpit view, preferably one that enables me to pan around using the hat key???

Try the center view key[num5] and set your hat to your view slow ,up,down left and right they are also your num 1- what ever..hope tht helps..5x5:thumbup:

You can also program a button on the joystick to do that. That's what I do, usually one I can click with my thunb when I want to recenter the view after using the hat to look around. I am finding, however, that TrackIR is pretty much required for reasonable success in a dogfight if you're thinking FC3 or any of the new fighters coming out in the future.
