Wingman - do not receive targets from him

Hi guys,

I've been flying black shark solo for the last few months and now I want to better learn how to work with wingman.

Previously when I tried it originally, I could send wingman to do recon and he will transmit coordinates for targets to me, indicators in the top left corner of the cockpit would light up & computer will announce that I need to look at the screen.

Now he just transmits coordinates "verbally" (I'm sorry I cant describe it better) but I do not receive targets and do not have a chance to save them to memory.

Is there a switch or something else I need to turn on to start receiving targets? I use win+home starting procedure.

I also tried turning on/off data link switches (both regular and secure) as described in manual - nothing. Same goes when I try switching my role from Commander to Wingman - he transmits targets over radio but Abris doesnt show anything.

Please help.

just a wild guess, you switched your radio to 127,5 to communicate with the FARP and after that forgot to switch back to 124.0 which is, iirc, the default flight comms channel?

Foss,

I'm loading individual missions of the campaign (2.4 in this case) and so when game starts my helicopter is already running. I dont think it carries over state of the controls from game to game but could be wrong.

When you start a new mission, do you see your wingman on ABRIS right away?

You are right, just jumped in the pit of the shark and loaded 2.4 of Campaign.

Very Strange could not get the Abris to show Wingman.

Change your VHF Freq. to 127.5 before take off. Once you're in the air, you will see your wingman in your ABRIS display.

And dont forget, use "Ralt+\" to open the radio menu and send yours orders. Wingman will receive it!

ECV56_Tordo,

I just tried that and lost ability to hear/communicate with my Wingman altogether (in commands menu flight/wingman sections are grayed out and I dont hear usual "in the air" statuses from wingman).

I also didnt see him on abris.

Any other ideas on what could it be?
