Tangogulf Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 I know this is going to sound ridiculous , but I will ask it anyways. I just purchased Lomac Gold today, and I would like to simply get in the plane on the runway and start by taking off and flying around. How do I do this. The quick missions put me in the air with targets and threats. I want no threats and would simply like to fly around in an A10. Thanks for any and all help.
SUBS17 Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Click on Editor push ok for coalitions click the aircraft icon on the left side left click over the airfield you wish to use on the box on the right side it will say its a russian aircraft, click the button next to the country it mentions and select USA. click the box next to aircraft(upper one) and select A-10(it might already select this as default) click next to pilot and select player now click Fly for a clean A-10 or select payload to configure weapons/skins/squadron etc. You will get the opportunity to save it when you click fly in which case save it in the single missions A-10 folder. Have fun.:D [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Tangogulf Posted December 30, 2005 Author Posted December 30, 2005 Ah, I never thought of that! Thanks so much, Ill give it a go!
WhiskeyRomeo Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 You can avoid learning the mission editor when getting started. Use the A-10 Quick Fly mission and just fly away from the threats. Or better yet - go into Options-> Difficulty and use the NOVICE button to make your aircraft Immortal, and give you unlimited fuel and weapons, etc. That way the threats don't matter. You will still start airborne but you can find a nearby airfield to land on and than take off again. Repeart for as long as you want. Look in the Lock On/Doc folder (where the manual is located) for the KeyCommands.doc file. You can print that out for the complete list of commands. Then use the S key to Pause the game while you look over the Keys Commands list.
Shaman Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 You also need to set Waypoint 0, as your TAKEOFF waypoint, and choose how you want to start: on runway or parking area. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
