Upps, wasn`t the way I did talk to you in my opinion. Sorry if it arrived at you this way. I never said the good framerates in the past were just in your head. I did spent about 2 hours looking into your systemspecs. I do not regret this because I learned about the huge performance gap between a 6990m and a 6990. Be assured I am never doing it again for you :-) ... just to make sure you don´t ge me wrong a second time :-) ... I am happy you still apriciate my effort to help, because that was the only thing I had in my mind - to help. As a test I still recommend to anybody else with a simular problem to play the game in window mode (1280*960) and post the result here. I have also frameratedrops and still have them but me happy to get no shutters. External view A-10C 25-85 fps. Not sure if I mentioned it here before: a friends shutter problems with 1.2.5 were solved by a TrackIR fresh install. Edited August 27, 2013 by BrunoDerRabe
Highwayman-Ed Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Whilst a lot of you guys have gone to some tremendous lengths here to point out ways to modify a system and use 3rd party software and tools, albeit for free to the community (and credit to you) to improve the performance issues that many of us are facing, it doesn't address the issue that there are significant performance issues for many of us in DCS 1.2.5, and it shouldn't be up to us to find solutions to fix these problems, we're paying customers and the whole platform seems to be in a constant state of beta... If you hadn't already guessed, I also am experiencing stutter and poor fps since updating to 1.2.5, less so in single player, but the fps loss is still there to the point that I have shelved DCS again until the next patch comes along... So over the course of a few days I completely wiped all DCS content from my computer and started from scratch with a full new build of the latest version, and all of the FPS issues have gone. I now have an average FPS of 45, spiking up to 120 and dipping down to high 20's under load (cities + smoke + Full effects)... Maybe it was some tweak that I've long forgotten, maybe it's a result of update upon update upon update but I'm happy and flying high again  Intel i9-9900KF @5.2GHz MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon 32GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR3200 RAM MSI RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio 40" Panasonic TH-40DX600U @ 4K Pimax Vision 8K Plus / Oculus Rift CV1 / HTC Vive Gametrix JetSeat with SimShaker Windows 10 64 Bit Home Edition [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
