  1. DCS_WORLD_FF_NTTRx23_Summer_09.00_Morning DCS WORLD FREEFLIGHT NTTR 2.1.1 (DCS VERSION 2.1.1) DCS_WORLD_FF_NTTRx23_Summer_09.00_Morning.miz (x23 is the playerslot count) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2773929/ DCS_WORLD_FF_NTTRx23_Summer_09.00_Morning allows you to go on a sightseeing tour with your A-10A, A-10C, F-15C, Bf 109 K-4, Fw 190 D-9. This mission is based on the mission Nevada Sightseeing Tour x2.miz I found in *:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\Hawk\Missions\EN\Multiplayer. Feel free to use the mission manager to edit the mission and swap some aircrafts for the ones you prefer. To adopt the new pattern used in DCS 2.0 to locate and save missions I have created a folder Missions inside of *:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\terrains\Nevada . The resulting path which I am using: *:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\terrains\Nevada\Missions (because this mission uses different aircrafts and requires the NTTR) I hope you like what you see. Getting the bunch of UH-1H working wasn´t easy. Have fun!
  2. yes I have SLI working in this shot ... with the new drivers 382.53 there is one thing to take care of regarding SLI and NVIDIA surround: first activate SLI second activate surround (I am also using a SLI HB Bridge 2 Slot) had just a test flight in Normandy ... (the system offers 128GB RAM - 96GB of that is used by the DCS 2.1.1 RAMDisk) regardless the high amount of 32GB RAM available I noticed some shutters - solution was: just pause the game for a while and then continue - shutters gone (the RAM usage of the game is good - multicore usage I have seen better/just my impressions from the windows ressourcemonitor)
  3. Thanks for the Thumbup - yes I have tried bezel correction in the past ... but I didn´t really like it - that is why I still running my games (if possible) in 5760x1060. (suggestions always welcome)
  4. all maxed out DCS 2.1 installed on a 96GB RAMDisk SLI 1080 Ti I7 6850K (40 PCIe lanes/a big plus for SLI)
  5. Are you sure your DDR 4 RAM has a CL9 value - wich RAM are you using? Me building a new rig with a Gigabyte X99-GAMING 5P - that`s why I am asking?
  6. Hi Markuscha, first of all I would recommend you to get the free upgrade to W10 Pro. Second it looks to me as an common USB-problem. This can be possibly solved first with additional USB cards. I prefere the Transcend TS-PDU3 - important is also the powersupplyconnector http://www.transcend.de/files/Manual/Manual_PDU3_EN.pdf The Problem can be also temporary - depending alot on the USB Drivers of your devices. May be the amount of Milliampere needed for your deevices when booting is just to much . Are you aware that your Intel Core i7 5820K does not support 40 PCIe lanes? 28 PCI-E-3.0-Lanes is all it supports. Running SLI or Crossfire - you see your CPU will be the bottleneck.

  8. DCS_World_FF_MISSIONS _1.2.16.39472.729-424 The updated package DCS_World_FF_MISSIONS is avaible for download: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/451464/ Greetings, Bruno
  9. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/de/files/451464/ thats what I did with CA .... will add an altered version named DCS_WORLD_FF_NAVAL_BATTLE_Summer_12.00_Noon soon
  10. Not the RAM, but the 1344 Shaderunits (GTX 660Ti) x 2 = 2688 Shaderunits :-) ... The GTX 780Ti comes with 2.880 Shaderunits :-) .... If you run two of them (GTX 780Ti) you deploy 2.880 Shaderunits x 2 = 5760 Shaderunits with the GPU calculations.
  11. So SLI is a plus - to understand it simply run surround without SLI :-) ... In DCS world it is also a big difference wich scene you use for your testing and in wich direction you are looking, for example towards an airport or oposite. Please check out the mission DCS World Freeflight http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/451464/ use the different F1-F12 to choose a decent unit view (AI units) for comparison. Even if you feel the average FPS isn´t brilliant in the game with SLI I can assure you the minimum FPS is much higher with SLI enabled than without (all settings maxed out).
  12. I guess the high resolution is the performance killer in your setting. Try to test this all with just 1920x1080 on a 120Hz Display :-) ..... Is your VSYNC disabled? I also use SLI for DCS and it is a huge difference in quality and FPS. I do use in that PC a 250GB SSD, 16GB RAMDisk (32GB RAM) - when the PC is started the DCS gamefolder is loaded from an image of the SSD into the RAMDISK. Tried also a triplemonitorsetup in the past but the performance was disapointing. The 2 GTX 660ti in SLI doing an amazing job but with just one Monitor only. I am not thinking about realizing a triplemonotorsetup until maybe some day with 3 GTX870. Best using only cards with 4GB RAM on board then. Just my opinion. I prefer NVIDIA 3D instead of triplemonitorsetup at the moment. It is a I7 2600 on a Z68 MOBO at my end. I run the game all maxed out with a decent framerate 40-50FPS. Hope this helps.
  13. This might answer someones question regarding the A-10C "invalid key message" if bought via Steam ... in the past before August the 2nd 2013 ( the date DCS World got avaible via STEAM)
  14. Here an important information for the players who purchased the A-10C via Steam before DCS WORLD was released on Steam. You might have added the serial number to your non Steam Version of the game in the past ( I had bought all 4 A-10C modules for my 4 playeraccounts I do own via Steam before DCS-World was avaible on Steam/thats why I know about this issue) Since DCS World is avaible on Steam, Steam granted their customers another new serial number/different from the original products serialnumber to the DCS A-10C for your Steam account for use in DCS WORLD on Steam (DLC CD-Key for the A-10C). When you have ever activated the origianal serialnumber /bind it to your DCS account in the past before the release of DCS World on Steam and you play the A-10C on the Steam DCS World logging in with the same login you use for the non steam version of the game you might face a problem wich I want to share with you and its solution. The new issued serialnumber (Steam DLC CD-Key) granted from steam for your pre DCS World on Steam bought A-10C product will get bind to your DCS account, regardless that there is already/still the original serial number of the same product binded to your account. For a while you even might not notice this fact at all. But when you try to log into the serverbrowser/multiplayergame after reinstalling the whole non steam DCS WORLD and its modules with the activated A-10C module you might face the message "wrong serial number". It took me a couple of attempts solving the issue until I noticed the drop down menue in the module manager of the non steam DCS World version next to the A-10C wich showed me surprisingly both serialnumbers of the module (the original and the one issued by steam after the DCS World launch on Steam. Solution: Deactivate the A-10C with the modulemanager in the non steamversion of DCS WORLD. Log into your player account on the http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com now open another tab in your browser: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/myserials.php there you can unbind the doubled serial numbers. Best you back them up bofore unbind ... because they will disapear. If you missed the backup of the keys check them out again on Steam). Depending if you played the A-10C on Steam DCS World or not (or whatever else counts in) it differs wich of the two serials will be accepted by the game when you reactivate them (by starting the multiplayer via desktop shortcut while holding the left shiftkey pressed). http://forums.eagle.ru/customprofilepics/profilepic59985_2.gif
  15. Not sure if it helps but it might be worth to let you know: 2 installations 1.2.6 (non Steam) so far - both tend to crash. Both were cured by installing the Mi-8 module. On one installation the Mi-8 is in use and activated on the second PC it is just there and not activated (other account). The Steam installations on the same PCs didn´t crash. Another fresh install didn´t solve the problems either (both PCs/different downloads). Edit 16.09.2013: on second PC the DCS World started to crash again .... so it might has been just a coincidence that the installation of the Mi-8 module brought back the stability to PC number one

  17. EDIT: 2019_08_18 14:07 CET I have just uploaded an updated version of the zipped fileDCS_WORLD_FREEFLIGHT_2.5.5.miz. It now contains the 2.5.5.jpg (2.5.5 mission manager view) and the different time/season versions of the mission wich were just renamed: DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_05.15_Night.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_06.00_Dawn.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_12.00_Noon.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_19.45_Sunset.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_21.10_Night.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Winter_08.15_Night.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Winter_09.15_Dawn.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Winter_12.00_Noon.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Winter_17.30_Sunset.miz DCS_WORLD_FF_Winter_18.45_Night.miz This shema of naming is easy to manage and supports both, the editors and players. It also fits better in for the missioneditor and now it is a very logic order and much easier to manage compared to the previous versions. I have played around with the different times and here is a warning: DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_19.45_Sunset.miz realy hurt my eye :pirate: (might be O.K. with 3D-or sunglasses) :D Beside the naming DCS_WORLD_FF_Summer_12.00_Noon.miz is identical with the original file DCS_WORLD_FREEFLIGHT_1.5.5.miz
  18. Quote: But please don't talk to me like I just arrived at the forum with my first PC bought off the high street. Upps, wasn`t the way I did talk to you in my opinion. Sorry if it arrived at you this way. I never said the good framerates in the past were just in your head. I did spent about 2 hours looking into your systemspecs. I do not regret this because I learned about the huge performance gap between a 6990m and a 6990. Be assured I am never doing it again for you :-) ... just to make sure you don´t ge me wrong a second time :-) ... I am happy you still apriciate my effort to help, because that was the only thing I had in my mind - to help. As a test I still recommend to anybody else with a simular problem to play the game in window mode (1280*960) and post the result here. I have also frameratedrops and still have them but me happy to get no shutters. External view A-10C 25-85 fps. Not sure if I mentioned it here before: a friends shutter problems with 1.2.5 were solved by a TrackIR fresh install.
  19. it seems more related to the weak hardware @martinistripes I have checked your systemconfig (hardware) quote: My specs on system with stutter: Intel Core i7-2760QM @ 2.40GHz, 8.0GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6990M, Windows 8 x64 Older system not showing stutter: Intel Core2 Duo P9700 @ 2.80GHz, 4.0GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 280M, Windows 7 x64 http://community.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/AMD+Radeon+HD+6970M+--+6990M/review compared to a GTX660ti or GTX670 the mobile hd 6990m has just about one/third of the performance. Another point is how much of the 8GB RAM in your Notebook is dedicated to the GPU? The naming by AMD HD6990m is very misleading in my opinion, but as soon as you do some research on the net you will notice the HUGE difference between a H6990 and the HD6990m you are using in combination with a CPU just running @2.4GHZ. Despite the weak GPU you are using on your W8 Notebook I can tell you by some comparisions (overclocking) I did with a Q6600 month ago: the difference for DCS-World beetween @2.4GHZ and running it at @3.0GHZ is tremendous. On that system I also swaped GPUs for testing - low resolution 1280*960 GTX260 was OK - high resolution 1920*1080 GTX470 was needed. The bottleneck is in your system. hd 6990m 3DMark GPU Score: 3390 hd 6990 3DMark GPU Score:10620 single GTX660Ti 3DMark GPU Score:8780 (me using two of them in SLI to gain the soft as butter performance plus some more other walletburners to get there 1920*1080) As a further hint (1/3) and may be it helps you to realize were the source of the problem is: for a higher resolution (3 Monitor setup for example 3 *1920*1080 also my system is to weak/tested this with my 2 cards/ at least 3 GTX670 would be needed in my opinion to get a decent framerate then)
  20. W8 is not an issue I do run :pilotfly: W8 Pro x64 on 5 PCs and all run DCS with ease. Try to play in Window mode with a smaller resolutions and do some testing. I can assure you if I mess up with my systemsettings (pagefile and so on) I can also create shutters on the ``High End PC´´. If my systemsettings are fine it runs like a charm. 1280*960 in a window is worth a try to see that the bottleneck is probably somewhere to find in the PC itself.
  21. I was pleased to see at least 2 new callsigns in the missioneditor for the A-10(A and C). Boar, Tusk , Pig, Hawk e.c.t. are avaible for them. In my mission Freeflight 1.2.5 I have now a shortage of callsigns for the SU-25 and SU-25T. They are urgently needed so the mission can continue to grow with the number of avaible modules. I checked already to rename other units (KI and playeraircrafts) but that does not solve the problem - the shortage persists. If just Hawk for example would be avaible as a callsign or Boar for the SU-25 and 25T would solve the problem for now. I just want to let the developers know about this demand :-) .... thank you.:helpsmilie:
  22. may be it is not the games fault Two of my other PCs [both W8 Pro 64bit / Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4E / AMD A10-5800K Accelerated Processor / 16GB RAM XMP enabled (8GB did the job too) four pieces of 4GB out of F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL, RipjawsX-Serie Quad Kit/ no SSD / no RAMDISK / GTX470) run the game also with ease. Same resolution (1920*1080 all maxed out) - yes much longer loading time some stutters here and there for example if I switch with the F1-F12 views - nothing wrong with the game. Yes there was a stability issue within the last month but a very soon published patch did fix that. Certainly I don´t get the FPS and the 100% soft as butter feeling as I have it on the previous mentioned PC with the more expensive hardware. Compared with a AMD Phenom II 940 BE 8GB DDR2 470GTX (one of the systems I used before the replacement with above listed hardware) the new hardware is realy a step forward and offers a much smother ``flying´´ in DCS. For camparison I always use my self created mission DCS-World Freeflight. In my opinion the most issues are related to hardware/software/settings of the PC itself - and not to forget from your ISP. Within the last 12 month I used 6 different PCs for DCS and as a conclusion I see that you get what you pay for and what knowledge/tweaks you put into it. If you want bread you pay for bread - if you want butter and bread or even candy you know what you have to pay for. One of my mates had recently an issue with DCS caused by the TrackIR software. A fresh install of TrackIR solved his stutters. As somebody said before: Consoles are defenitely more easy to handle :-) ... If I can help somebody with choosing decent hardware to play DCS-World happily just give me a shout. These 2 mentioned PCs use a GTX470 for a reason instead of a GTX460. For the same reason the other PC uses 2 GTX660Ti instead of 2 GTX660. If I would have been rich I would have prefered to buy 2 GTX 670GTX :-) ... now you know I am not rich :-) ....
  23. This might save you some money: Tonight I have done a different test. First of all the settings of the PC haven`t changed much. Thats what I did: used the Samsungs SSD software (Samsung Magican) and changed the setting from MAX realiability to MAX performance EDIT: (includes a remap of the pagefile back to C/have remaped it back to X/ ASrockXFastRAM does not save and load the pagefile anymore/each systemstart the pagefile starts with about 16MB now and rises/ I want it back as it was :-) ...) Then I started the game from the SSD (RAMDisk with the gamefolder not in use) - the swapfile unchanged on X (the other RAMDISK created with XFastRAM / 7400MB). In total just 55% of the 24GB RAM was in use - so 16GB RAM teamed up with a SSD does the job with ease. NO performance issues at all. I didn`t manage to cause any shutter at all - I realy tried my best. I do not regret that I am going for 32GB this week (one 8GB piece is missing yet) but it is not needed at all. So the many of players with motherboards with 16GB MAX RAM shoudn´t be pushed to get a new MOBO to extend the RAM to play DCS without shutters :-) . I think there is a cheaper /more usefull solution. As a result of the testing I did I can recommend 16GB RAM, a decent SSD and a swapfile (size above/flexible 16-7000MB) on a RAMDISK - it is a better choice than to consider a RAMDISK for the gamefolder itself where 16GB RAM is not enough at all. Remember 8GB RAM and a RAMDISK for this purpose is a totaly different story where I do agree what I have been reading somewhere here and is in my opinion too: total nonsens If you have 32GB RAM, a decent SSD, XFastRAM (simple to use/by Asrock) and the patience to check out the settings to get RAMDisk (the programm I use myself) or any simular tool to fire up the correct image and so on you can certainly do it all with no limitations.
