Fisrt of all when I press next waypoint key i do not know which it refers to? I can't find the route on the map. Am I missing something? A quick tutorial on this topic for a newcomer would be so nice. At the moment I'm playing F15C from FC3 Many thanks

This actually has different meanings depending on what navigation mode you're in. If you're in route following mode, you'll be directed to the next waypoint on your route. If you're in return mode, you'll be directed to the next available airport. There are training videos you can download but they aren't of the highest quality.
Exorcet Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 You can try playing with waypoints on the Russian fighters. They're a little different, but they show your route on the MFD while in navigation mode, so you can actually see what you're doing. In navigation mode (1) I'm pressing LCtrl+' for next navigation point. the problem is I'm not sure where this point is. The map doesn't show it. How do you activate return mode? I found this video which explains a bit how to use waypoints but still I don't know where it takes me @Exorcet I will have a go with Russians planes since I found other films on YT which IMHO ED should pay him for doing it. Here's the link if someone wants to use it

It would be helpful if you could. You kind of have to go by memory of what you saw in the Mission Planner before you launched the mission and make note of the more important waypoints like rallying points, ingress points, egress points, etc. If you're lucky the in-flight mission briefing (Alt-B) will be descript enough for you to figure out where you are. Pressing "1" multiple times toggles between route following or nav mode, return mode, and ILS mode.
kk0425 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 For the F-15C it's a bit annoying that you can't see your waypoints on a map anywhere, but there's not much you can do about it right now.

But there is a "route" button in your in-flight map that doesn't seem to do anything. Unless I'm missing the point of why it's there.
bigbadlynx Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 thanks guys for your help. I'll have a go and hope I manage this OK.
