UH-1H Blades Ejecting Shortly After Mission Start

Recommended Posts

I have come across an issue with the UH-1H that I have not encountered before. I do not play multiplayer on line just SP. I have for a long time had my options set to "Immortal". I decided to change this option and immediately encountered the following problem.

I am currently running 1.2.5.116508.225.241. Since un-checking the "Immortal" option, every UH-1H Huey mission which I launch, within 2 or 3 seconds after starting the mission, the blades eject from the Huey. It doesn't matter if the Huey is waiting for a startup or the Huey is already started, the blades blow off of the Huey and I haven't given any other key commands for this to happen. Just launching any of the Huey missions will creat this problem. If I recheck "Immortal" in the Options menu, the blades remain on the Huey.

Any suggestions?????

Are you sure the control stick is centered in-game when starting a mission? Look for the diamond shape in the red box at the top left.

Also, make sure "Sync cockpit controls with HOTAS at mission start" is ticked off in the options / misc. menu.

Check that you have not got a conflict with your joystick axis as that's what it sounds like.

No conflicts with any of the assigned key options.

Control stick is centered at start of mission and "Sync" is not checked.

What I think is causing your problem is something called mast bumping which is essentially the rotorhead impacting the mast and breaking it off. It can happen on the ground when moving the control stick to any extreme. You have to find out what is causing the mast bumping.

I had the same mast bumping issue initially. I had some duplicate mappings by default which was creating unwanted cyclic input and causing the mastbump and sheering it off causing the rotors to fly off.

The stick is not being moved. At start of any of the missions, without the engines even started, 2 to 3 seconds after the mission is started, the blades blow off.

Were your engines at a dead stop. These blades blow off without the engines even before beginning startup sequence. This happens 2 to 3 seconds after start of any Huey missions.

You could always try to reinstall the game, might just be a bug.
