fastfreddie Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Steam has mustang on sale for $11.99 and other titles for 70% to 80% off. Huey is only $9.99 for the next 2 days but I have a question. They had previously said to buy all titles from one site. I've bought all previous purchases from DCS but now they are carrying them on steam. Will I be able to use the steam licenses with my previous purchases in DCS world?

They had previously said to buy all titles from one site. I've bought all previous purchases from DCS but now they are carrying them on steam. Will I be able to use the steam licenses with my previous purchases in DCS world? I too am in a similar boat as you. I previously purchased all of my modules through the DCS site. I recently bought 2 modules off of the Steam sale. What I ended up doing was only obtaining the serial key from the steam bought modules, downloaded the modules from the DCS site and when I launched the game input the serial keys when prompted. Here are the steps I took: * Bought modules off of steam site * Looked in my steam library, saw DCS world, clicked on install (or play now). ** NOTE: I already had DCS world installed on my machine, but when I right clicked on the DCS world row, I didn't see the option to get the keys * Once the download started, I right clicked on the DCS world row and selected the 'get keys' menu (I can't remember the exact terminology * Copy and pasted the keys into a text editor * Paused the steam download * Closed steam * Downloaded the modules I bought off of the DCS site and installed * Loaded up a mission for the modules and input my keys when prompted So far so good! 314-я смешанная авиационная дивизия 314th Mixed Aviation Division: The "Fighting Lemmings"- Forums: http://314thsquadron.enjin.com/ - ED Forum Group: http://forums.eagle.ru/group.php?groupid=119
fastfreddie Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 I bought the P-51 mustang to try and move it over the way you did it. I'd migrate everything over to steam but I don't think the upgrade version of Blackshark 2 will migrate. Waiting for the E store on DCS site to come back up to install before I purchase more titles from steam.
