Setting up group spawns

Hi.

 

What I want to do is have a spawn for almost every module aircraft with a hot and cold variant.

So 2 Su-25t cold, 2x Su-25t hot, 2x A10c cold, 2x A10c hot....etc etc etc

 

Once i've done this for all the controllable aircraft I want to group them all together and have the ability to just drop the group into any of the airports I choose.

 

Is this even possible?

Outside of placing 4x of each aircraft at every airbase, nope. Aircraft only spawn where you place them.

So it's possible for me to set up a group for each aircraft type? that would be very helpful if so?

If you're talking about client aircraft- you can only have a single aircraft per group.

 

You can always use the control+c to copy a group (in any instance... but in this case your single aircraft client group) and all of its settings and "clone" that single aircraft however many times... In your case you'd set up one aircraft as a "takeoff from ramp." Set it up with all the waypoints, names for waypoints, armament, liveries etc... then click control+c- and then press control+v to paste the "clone." Then once you have those two set up (it will copy it almost exactly, so you'll want to change some of the info... you'll see what I mean), then paste a second clone and change that one to "takeoff from runway" (warm start.)

 

If you want all aircraft to have the same waypoints you can then clone again, set up a new aircraft type, liveries, weapons on that last clone and then copy that aircraft and paste it 3 times... 2 cold and 2 warm.

 

But no- in terms of what you're envisioning- it isn't possible.

thats a bummer. It get real complicated and drawn out and I always I make mistakes.

I've been doing copy and paste for a while but I always end up forgetting to change some settings here and there.

The cold starts become the warm etc...seen it online too.
