Same Manufacturers?

I was wondering since Mi-8 release; According to my knowledge, Mi-8 and Ka-50 are produced by different companies.

 

But some devices seem same, such as UV-26, Apu gauge and some others. Especially gauge fonts are the same.

 

Producers may be different, but are these devices manufactured by subcontractor companies?

That's the way it works in the US. The companies that build the aircraft have lots and lots of subcontractors.

Both Mil and Kamov probably buy the equipment from the same subsupplier.

 

It´s really the same as with most other aircraft and for that sake cars.

F.ex both Piper and Cessna put´s in Garmin GPS' or Bendix King radios in their aircraft.

 

My Ford S-Max comes with a PSA (Peugeot, Citroen) diesel engine and Sony radio/GPS unit also found in other car makes.

How many russian companies would specialise in aircraft countermeasures systems am guessing not that many. :)

 

This was also the soviet era when most these companies were under government control not many private if any.
