Wrecking Crew Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 New mission called Huey Apocalypse has Blue AI helicopters attacking Red vehicle targets including AAA. The UH-1Hs and OH-58Ds are getting shot up and they land in enemy territory and sit on the ground for I don't know how long after that. They are stopping in zones and screwing up the regular event logic for All Of Coalition Out Of Zone. http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=89112&stc=1&d=1381196152 I'm pretty sure there was a discussion about how to detect this condition -- AI aircraft (helicopter) is on the ground (landed) and is zero speed. I want to set a flag with these conditions: Aircraft is landed (horizontal and vertical speed = zero?; what is the definition?) Optional conditions: Aircraft is damaged Aircraft is in a zone Can someone point me to a solution? Ahh -- here is the other discussion that asked about detecting a 'landing'. Weight On Wheels may be an attribute? What about when covers go onto a Red jet after landing -- is that a 'condition' that can be detected, or, like when a cargo plane's ramp goes down? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=112179 ^^^ We never got to a solution back then. Wrecking Crew Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 I can probably make do with the script from the previous post. But it would be helpful to detect a true landing, whether that be a normal landing with shut down, or a damaged landing. (Those downed helicopters are a bear to kill with a BMP-1!) kontiuka Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Can you add the condition "Unit's Altitude Lower Than" ? This is in meters above sea level so you'll have to know how high above sea level the terrain is.
Wrecking Crew Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 I did get this to work with traditional events -- everything I needed is there, just have to do an event for every unit. I used Unit Damaged 10%, and Unit Speed < 4. WC Visit the Hollo Pointe DCS World server -- an open server with a variety of COOP & H2H missions including Combined Arms.
