Hello! I have a problem with an installation with FC2. Now when I try install FC2 it says, "Lockon 1.1 required! Installation interrupted!" I have tried the registry thing and other things but no effect was given. I really want to play FC3 but without FC2 I cant which I find really stupid and hope some day FC3 will not require any previous Flaming Cliffs series. Please help!

There is nothing anyone can do to help. You need LockOn for the installation of FC2 or FC3 and that is all there is to it.

What the above poster said.

The reason is because Ubisoft owns the IP of Lockon and this was the terms to release FC3. Aircrafts from the Lockon titles are being released on their own without this restriction and are/ will be IDENTICAL to the ones in FC3. A-10a and Su-25 have already been released as such standalone products

FC1 will not help, nor will FC2. The only thing you need is LOMAC (aka Lock-on), which is needed for the installation of either Flaming Cliffs game, as stated on its official page

Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 will require an installation of Lock On: Modern Air Combat

They are getting rid of the requirement by releasing stand-alones modules, on per aircraft. The A-10A and Su-25A are out, and the F-15C is in developpement (and should be released next), as is the Su-27.
