ENO Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Eh guys. Just wondering- when we assign bort numbers for the A-10C (the only one whose numbering I'm somewhat familiar) I end up putting in a 5 digit code. For example, I have a photo of aircraft 90135 from the 75th so I tend to build on that format. However when I'm in mission there really isn't any relation to the numbers I assign. For example, aircraft 90210 (lol) still comes up as something I'm assuming is stock (not 90210). However, when I assign an F-14 to bort number 201... it shows up properly as 201. Am I missing something? Is this just the way it is, or is this actually a bug? "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Home Fries Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 The A-10 EDM only has room for two digit numbers, whereas the F-14, F-15, and F-18 have room for 3. It's just how the EDM is set up. If you look at the skins (and the tails in particular), you'll see the first three digits that exist as part of the skin itself. You have control over the final 2 of 5 digits in the ME. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
