Ricardo's HORSE of WAR Cockpit problem installing with JSGME

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

This is driving me nuts because I can get it to work just following this path "DSC world/Mods/aircrafts/A-10C/cockpit/ressources/model/textures/ and replace it with the file "A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip". But I cannot get it to work using JSGME.

I created a folder like JSGME told me to which I called _MODS because there is already a folder called Mods. However, when I use this path to install this Cockpit mod within JSGME and follow this path>> _MODS/Mods/aircrafts/A-10C/cockpit/Resources/Model/Textures/A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip It doesn't work? What am I doing wrong here? I have got a sound mod to work, so it's not like I don't know what to do here. Could it be that the Folder I created named _MODS is conflicting with the folder Mods? Please help. Thankyou!!

Strange, I have no problem with this. Try double checking the spelling in each folder. Or try DCS World/Mods/aircrafts etc

According to the path you gave for the mod within your mods folder, you seem to not have the mod in a folder.

_MODS/Mods/aircrafts/A-10C/cockpit/Resources/Model/Textures/A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip

Where is the 'Horse of War' folder? JSGME needs each mod to be in a folder with a unique name.

The Horse of war is the name of the zip that you unzip. It then becomes A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip.

If you have no problem can you tell me what do you call your JSGME folder? Also, what path do you choose to make it work? All the folder names are spelt correct I checked.

Right, and it is up to you, if you want to use JSGME, to create a folder for the mod, the contents of that folder will be the mod within the proper directory structure. If you do not create a folder to contain the mod (the folder name is what is listed in JSGME under available mods), then all of your mods will have the same name; Mods.

Cool, it worked. I just made a folder with a name I choose and then added in the mod folder. Thanks!!

When it comes to naming conventions I prefer DCSv126_MODS. This way I can have backups of numerous mod folders for different games and game versions without getting them confused.
