Hi folks,

As the EDGE release is not to far away (or at least not as far away as yesterday) I am considiering to upgrade my rig. As far as I understood, EDGE should benefit from SLI. Right?

So I am looking at an additional GTX 780, to be operated with my current 780 in SLI.

Would youg guys recommend a graphic card update to a SLI configuration?

I understand that EDGE isn't out yet, and so nobody really knows it's hardware usage. I am just curious about your thoughts!

Best regards,

Jonathan

I second that. I've been holding off my upgrade (it's been hard). I'm hoping EDGE will use some more of my 6 core cpu. If it also supports crossfire/SLI then I can get away with just adding another 6970.

How much do you get from SLI (compared to single GFX)? +20-30%? IMHO, it is not worth it. If one GTX780 is not enough for you, then instead of buying the 2nd one, I'd sell my 780GTX and buy GTX780Ti. You get about the same performance boost for less money (less power-consumption, less heat-generation, etc.)...

Thank you guys for your replies! Depending on your answers I will probably go for a second 780, altough replacing my current 780 with a 780Ti doesn't seem to bad of an idea either!
