Sky color adjustments

Hello everyone,

 

I'm interested in changing the default color setting for the sky colors in DCS. :D I know they are fine right now, specially the sunsets but I'd like to try to change them a little bit to fit my taste, such as different tones of blue. Does anyone know if it's actually possible? If so, which files contain the parameters? :book:

Hi there :) yes it's possible but it takes alot of trial and error, the first place you should start is within the sky.fx shader itself located Bazar\shaders\sky folder - for editing you'll need Notepad++.

 

I've altered this file myself and produced some nice results (removed the grey band around the horizon at higher altitudes) see the link in my sig ;)

Hello! I would like to do the same thing, just want to tweak some sky's color but no joy... have you figure it out yet? It would be nice to have some clues because right now I'm so lost haha

Heya, lol that post was from nearly 10 years ago - while it might be possible to edit sky colours I have not attempted this personally in a long time, sorry.
