Der_Fred Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Excuse if it's an obvious (answered) question.. Does DCS output control surface stick/rudder forces which are speed dependent ? I'm not sure whether this is done with Force Feedback already... but I'm looking at a mechanical application that 'stiffens/loosens' the stick/rudders dynamically. What I think at the moment is either I have to have a aircraft specific speed/force transform chart, or use the data from DCS. Essentially the result would be that the stick stiffens at speed, requiring more force/effort to move it, or loosens such at landing speeds where you have to yank the stick around to get the same effect. This will make you nice and tired after an hour of flying :-)
Scarecrow Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 What are you gonna use to drive the FFB? If I had the money this would be a good start for a nice custom FFB stick;) http://www.simsteering.com/products.html
Der_Fred Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 I'm looking at a simple mechanical linkage system that, I think, will be able to emulate stick forces. :-)
