Hey there :)

First of all i'd like to say hey, im new to DCS and have only been playing for a couple of days and i have to say I LOVE it!!

To my problem:

I have been starting out my experience of DCS with the SU-25T and I'm doing the training at the moment, its been good so far and i've had alot of fun with it, but when I tried the CCIP unguided bombing training i couldnt release the bombs :( I follow the directions up to the point im supposed to dive and i do so, target the vehicles marked with red smoke inside the target reticule wait for the autorization and the line which comes up the i press/hold (tried both) space but the bombs wont drop :/

I've probably tried it 20 times but the bombs wont release at all and im pretty sure i follow the directions 100%. I tried the CCRP training and that went fine, but i really dont wanna miss out on the CCIP.

I do believe i know how to do it since i follow all the directions in the training lesson, but since the bombs wont drop i must do something wrong :S

Could someone clarify for me? :)

Thanks :)

Bombs won't drop if you're below a certain altitude AGL (though I don't know exactly what it is), and since Su-25T CCIP was unintentionally changed in version 1.2.5, it's harder to get the CCIP pipper to appear without a very steep dive. Being in a very steep dive gets you to the no-release altitude faster.

Thank you for a quick reply :)

That seems very logical and I gotta say, i end up in the ground quite often when i try this :P

Is this gonna be fixewd at any point, do we know? Cause (and im no pilot or anything, not even a good pilot in DCS xD) CCIP seems like a quite important way to deliver bombs especially because of the high altitude approach.

EDIT:

Well I tried the dispenser training too, couldnt drop em either, seems like they were "fixed" on being CCIP and I cant drop em :/ I dont know how to change so i can drop them the CCRP way cause the guy in the lesson said i could choose? :P

I had the same problem in the CCIP training mission and the only way I could get around it was to map the "weapon fire" action to a different key.

Does this happen to you in regular (non-training) missions too? I am thinking that maybe there is some conflict with the special use of space bar in the training missions (unpause).

I think you are right. I cannot fire cannon nor release bombs in CCRP mode in CCIP training.

Thanks for the help guys :) Turns out I wasn't fully precisely through each gate. Unless you go through each one exactly, the training mission will not progress.

the FC3 aircraft (including SU-25T) all switch automatically between CCIP and CCRP depending on weapon and dive angle.

Basically, if your weapon will impact within the HUD if it were released at any given moment, then the drop will be CCIP. If the weapon would impact below the HUD, then the reticle will latch the bottom of the HUD and becomes your CCRP designation point.
