Possibly, I don't know. You would have to at least change the F/A-18 to F-14 in the mission editor. Try it. But it may be easier to take the original F-14 mission and make the same fix (delete Red smoke objects in the "Blue Zone" trigger area).

Here is the "fixed" Interception mission. Hope it's OK to post it here. As mentioned before, I deleted all the Red coalition static smoke objects from the "Blue Zone" trigger area. This avoids the bug and allows the mission to complete. FA-18C - Caucasus - CTB 5 - INTERCEPTION.miz

Check the briefing log (or Tacview or replay the track) when exactly the Su-24 and Tu-22 bombers die. If a whole bunch of them dies around 11 min 40 sec into the mission then this is the same exploding bomber problem from the couple posts above.

You are right. I have double checked everything and I think I figured out what the problem was. My N2 Trim switch was stuck in the DEC position, causing unnaturally low rotor RPMs. Oh boy . Anyway, sorry for all the noise. Great campaign, I am now getting pummeled by the insurgents in mission 3 .

Thanks, I am moving this here because I wanted to post a track and the download section does not allow it. I don't know what I am doing wrong then, because I was already setting the throttle grip to MAX (auto governor) and the rotor RPM still does not reach 95% (or even 93%). In fact it barely goes over 90%. Here is the track with manual startup but the same thing happens with automatic startup (LWin-Home). mi-8-startup.trk

For me the real win is the minimum frame rate and variability. Take a look at this chart (this is using the Batumi track from https://forum.dcs.world/topic/313273-rtx-4080-7900-xtxxt-benchmarks-dcs/?do=findComment&comment=5113344)

In any external view you can press Ctrl-F11 which will free the camera and you can fly it around with the mouse. Use the scroll wheel to accelerate/decelerate.

This is not so much of an issue but an observation. I was just trying to see how Igla works and practicing on Mi-26 (big target ). I scored 4 successful hits but the Mi-26 just shrugged it off like it was nothing. I know it's a big helicopter and Igla is small, but 4 hits? Eventually I had to gun him down...

Does the DCS_Updater return any exit code? If it doesn't already, can I request a small enhancement that it returns exit code with the status of the operation, eg. something like this: 0 - update successful 1 - no update available 2 - update failed Thanks!

Can you just run something like this? DCS_updater.exe --quiet update DCS.exe (replace the second line with whatever to run the server)

Heh, OK, I tried this and you must be a much better pilot. I could get close but not above 500 km/h. But that is still a lot faster than I could do normally (and well outside the specs). At least now I believe you that it is possible (at least in DCS ).

I don't know. I didn't think that you could do much (other than flying slower ). But 600 or even 500 km/h in *any* helicopter is crazy, I don't really believe you could to it (unless you are exploiting some DCS bug). I think even the fastest production helicopters cannot exceed 400 km/h.

Huh? Where did you get these numbers from? If by 350 rubles you mean 350 km/h then that's the only number that makes some sense. BlackShark cannot actually safely go as fast as Hind because of the colliding rotor blades (one tilts left, the other tilts right and the effect increases with speed until they collide). This is very dangerous and it can happen (at least in DCS) even before you get the overspeed warning.

No, this command is for standalone. I doubt it works on Steam. But are you on the latest Open Beta? You need to update before you can install Marianas Map.

I don't know about the .bat file but you can install it from the command line like this: DCS_Updater install MARIANAISLANDS_terrain
