Hello-

I am new to DCS and I have the following questions:

1. Is it possible to map my rudder pedal brakes to the actual "wheel brake" command? If so, how do you do it?

2. Can I map the slider on a throttle to a left/right slow view?

I tried doing both of these things on the options/controls page to no avail.

OK, I just assigned the side-to-side slider on my throttle to "cockpit camera move lateral." That seems like a reasonable choice.

BTW, I'm just using the free DCS world (for now) with that Russian plane -- SU-25T.

As for the rudder pedal brakes, I can't figure out how to assign them to the wheel brakes. If I click on the "axis assign" button at the bottom, "axis commands" comes up in the command category, and "wheel brake" isn't one of the choices.

If I go to "all" commands, and click on the "wheel brake" / "Saitek rudder pedals" column and then "add," if I step on the brake pedals nothing happens, like it's not recognizing the pedals.

The brake pedals work fine in FSX, even giving differential braking.

Like Svend explained, there are no analog wheel brake axes among the Su-25T controls you can assign to your Saitek rudder pedals. The "wheel brake" command you found is a digital (i.e., on/off) one you can only assign to keys or buttons. Perhaps you can get around this with 3rd party software, but I don't know of any.

The planes available as 'DCS' modules (P-51 etc.) have brakes assignable to axis and separate brake channels for left and right wheels where this exists in the real aircraft.

In real life, the Su-25T (& Su-25) doesn't have separate brake channels for left and right wheels.

Cheers.

Flaming Cliffs aircraft do not have a brake axis regardless of what they have in real life. The A-10A (even with AFM) does not support a brake axis of any kind, much less a left and right.

EDIT: Apparently, the Flaming Cliffs F-15C will be the first exception, based on the AFM update just posted by Matt.
