ENO Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Just wondering if there has ever been any discussion about password protecting client slots? Reason being mostly for an open server concept that would restrict access of certain spots (like observer or game master) to particular people. Obviously you don't want just anybody going in as the game master. This would also allow you to configure particular aircraft for particular people... they could have their own markings and weapon configuration they like set as a template and mounted in each mission. It could be "locked" for them when they come in. It might also help limit people who aircraft spam- basically just keep clicking through all available slots until they get bored. This would limit "open" servers to aircraft that were "open." Just a thought. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
GGTharos Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 There has been, and it's on the wish list. I think for now it is, like many things, waiting on EDGE to be implemented first. A lot of squadrons would probably like to reserve slots for their own people on their dedicated servers. ED Team c0ff Posted December 10, 2013 ED Team Posted December 10, 2013 It is doable right now with server-side scripts. Dmitry S. Baikov @ Eagle Dynamics LockOn FC2 Soundtrack Remastered out NOW everywhere - https://band.link/LockOnFC2.
GGTharos Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 But without a nice user interface, right? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
