Basco1 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Why is it that when you give you're flight of four aircraft the command to fly in formation, the flight does, but at such a long distance away, even if you command the flight to pull in tight they're still so far apart,it's ridicoulous:doh: I'd like to get my flight to pull in really tight which is much more realistic,at the moment my formation flight of four P-51's are flying 'line abreast' football pitch distances apart. Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated, thank you. VTB_Bingo Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I'd recommend joining the Virtual-Aerobatic community. http://www.virtual-aerobatics.com/ Pretty sure members of this community will have a flight with you in the mustang :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC | Sponsored by Thrustmaster

Blaze Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 There's a big difference when flying formation for aerobatics and formation for tactical purposes. Real fighters when flying formation are quite spaced out from each other, as opposed to the airshow formation varieties. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. Wabacku Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Im pretty sure he just wants to be able to fly tight formation... I recommend Virtual Aerobatics for that.
Echo38 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 It looks to me as though he was asking about how to get the AI pilots to tighten up their formation, not asking for advice about how to fly in tight formation with human players.
