Cinch Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Just installed DCS and got just about everything available to fly. Got everything set up and I'm having an issue with long screen freezes while flying (20 to 30 secs) but I can still here audio. I get this in both Nvidia Surround and single screen. Anyone have any tips? Any help would be great! i7 3770K 16 gigs ram 3x 24"ASUS LCD 2X EVGA 580GTX on H20 VR, Cinch
Cinch Posted December 21, 2013 Author Posted December 21, 2013 Do you have an SSD? Which DCS version? 1.2.6 or the 1.2.7 beta? No SSD and on 1.2.6
The_Nephilim Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Which NVidia driver are you using?? There have been reports of the newer drivers causing these kinds of problems with the 4xx & 5xx series cards.. I am using 314.22 with a 590GTX.. Not sure but that could be an issue.. Intel Ultra 265K 5.5GHZ / Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Elite / MSI 4070Ti Ventus 12GB / SoundBlaster Z SoundCard / Corsair Vengance 64GB Ram / HP Reverb G2 / Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Games / Crucial 512GB M.2 Win 11 Pro 21H2 / ButtKicker Gamer / CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh V2 PC Case

All others either crash and windows restarts them a couple of times per hour (screen goes black and comes up again after 2-3 seconds), screen freezes or produce graphical glitches in games.
tob.s Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 i have the same problem, but i got an ati hd6870 - in 1.26 multiplayer, seems like a huge lag. hasnt happend in 1.27 beta, but i only flew a few hours jet. i also lowered the terrain preload - might be worth a try
Cinch Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 I'm using 331.82 Nvidia drivers. Don't know what the issue is I went back a few driver versions and still have the same issue.
