TrackIR 5 (Trackclip Pro) upside down

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to figure out how to use the Trackclip pro upside down, since I just got a new headset. The thing is, I figured out I need to change the rotation of the camera to 180 degrees, and I then tried inverting everything apart from the z axis and the roll. Problem is, when for some reason when I want to lean down and go forward to look at cockpit instruments, it just doesn't and glitches out. It seems that trackir is not very responsive to this when upside down.

I also noticed that when I rotate my head to look behind me in a dogfight, and I try to look behind my seat, it just shoves the head into the seat, as if I'm moving on the z axis. I tried mirroring everything and inverting, I just cannot find the right combination. Any help please!

I am trying to picture this and the first thing I would do (if you haven't) is forget about the sim for a minute and just look at TIR. I would first look at what the camera is seeing, especially when you lean forward. Then I would turn on the 3d head view and watch the differences between the real and virtual heads.

This might give you a better feel for what is going awry.

That's what I've been doing the whole time. Any other suggestions?
