lanmancz Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Hi, I've been using FreeTrack so far but I'd like to upgrade to TIR5 when I noticed that I can order Oculus Rift in my favorite local e-shop. The price is not that different - TIR5 is a bit cheaper but OR should be worth the extra buck I think. The question is what do you guys think ? Are you using OR with DCS ? How does it work ? I understand that there should be some new OR version in early 2014, correct ? Is it worh waiting for it or should I just buy TIR5 as it's tested and works well with DCS ? Gisen Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 If your freetrack is working then I'd definitely wait for oculus, trackir isn't that much better then freetrack ( depending on exact setup they can be completely indistinguishable)
Scrim Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Well, I've got the latest TrackIR, and I'm very happy with it, but to be honest, right now I'm sitting on nails waiting for the first viable OR to be released. When that happens, I doubt my TrackIR will see much use if it isn't for games that are incompatible with OR.
