I'm new to DCS and i just purchased the MI-8. I would like to know how I can visually see the way points I am supposed to follow in the briefing for instance when I pull up the map there are no lines to follow. Is it all VFR and you make your on path to get to the target area/Waypoint or am I missing something? I have been successful in getting to where I need to go but I just want to make sure this is the right way. How does anyone else using the Mi-8 get around during missions?

Hi and welcome to the forums.

To assist in navigation you could use the kneeboard, right shift K brings it up and right Cntl K will mark your position on kneeboard map. [ and ] keys scroll through maps and Airfield info while kneeboard is visible.

The Mi-8 has ADF in the form of ARK-UD which needs specific radio broadcasts to navigate to.
