Performance: 1 monitor vs 3 monitors

I'm trying to figure out what kind of performance drop should I expect after going form 1 monitor setup to 3 monitors? I realize that it will worsen, the question is how significantly? All three monitors are 24", 1920x1080. My specs: i7 3.5Ghz, GTX780, 16Gb RAM.

with 3 monitors (and 3 viewports) drop will be to around 35% of what you get with 1 monitor. 3 monitors and 1 viewport and you will not get such drastic drop in performance, but you will get very stretched image towards side monitors.

I just put in a GTX780 card and with one monitor and max settings I'm getting 85 fps without doing any tweaking yet.:) I expect your fps drop will still give you excellent performance. I am adding 2 additional monitors as well.

 

Please post your results so we can use it to compare.

Interesting. I'm getting 60 FPS with drops down to 25 in certain cases. Am I doing it wrong?

you're not doing anything wrong, you can't get high FPS with 3 viewports as DCS world is rendered 3 times compared to 1 viewport.

I only use 1 viewport and the moment (and 1 monitor).
