SharpeXB Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) I'm trying to run the updater for 1.2.7 It's downloading at 1-20 Kbps. At that rate it will take several days to install. Is something wrong? the download speed now is 1.5kbps so I have to just cancel. It will take weeks to install at that speed. Clicking "cancel" does not work, I just have to shut down in order to stop. Is there something wrong with the DCS server? Can DCS be uninstalled and then re-downloaded from the torrent site? That seems faster as long as it's the current 1.2.7 version from torrent. a1adin Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 DCS server is world famous for its slow speed. Mine is still 1.2.3 and the last time I try to update, that is a few months ago, I get only 1-20kbps, but mostly around 5kbps So I guess nothing is changed. To DCS: if you can not provide decent server speed, please consider use torrent for the update patch files. It is a lot faster that way.
SharpeXB Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Looks like the problem was that my modem needed to be replaced. It's downloading now at about 150-200 KB/s. It installed in about 2 hours.
