Strong05 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Once I updated to 1.2.7 I changed and saved my controller profile multiple times. Then I discovered you can now change the setting while in mission. I don't recall changing anything in mission but after accessing that the load/save/save as buttons are all grayed out no matter where I am in the game when I assess the controls menu. What am I missing or is this a bug with 1.2.7? Thanks, Brad Edited February 17, 2014 by Strong05 5800X3d, 32GB DDR4@3400, 6800 xt, Reverb G2, Gunfighter/TMWH

wernst Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Yes, Brad, having the same issue since 1.2.7 But saving any aircraft controller profile while being IN Mission doesn't work, it works outside of mission, in World only. Wolfgang

Wolfgang Correct. However it won't let me save when I'm not in game either. 5800X3d, 32GB DDR4@3400, 6800 xt, Reverb G2, Gunfighter/TMWH
Strong05 Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Got it figured out. You have to click on the control column first to activate or select the control then the save and load options light up. On another note I also noticed that if you load a profile from another a/c that it will grey out those control options that are not available for the aircraft you pulled the control configuration file from. 5800X3d, 32GB DDR4@3400, 6800 xt, Reverb G2, Gunfighter/TMWH
Habu_69 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 DCSW 127 refuses to save a profile with custom OSB button assignments for the TM/F16 MFDs. I must mount my MFD's rotated 180, so I need to reassign the OSB's so they appear in the correct cockpit orientation. Making custom assignments only to the rocker switches causes no problems; however, saving a profile after reassigning the F16 MFD 1 and F16 MFD 2 OSB's saves an empty .lua file in SAVED GAMES. In a mission, after making the custom assignments, the OSB's do not function. The buttons will function, of course, if default button assignments are made in OPTIONS. After making/saving custom OSB assignments, closing then restarting the program and checking OPTIONS, the MFDs have no button assignments. I have been messing with this for HOURS trying different procedures and simply can not get the program to save the changed OSB assignments correctly. I even tried editing the joystick/default.lua to no avail. Anyone out there know how to accomplish my objective?

Sounds like this bug that is still unresolved since the 1.2.7 beta: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118251

Habu_69 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 OK, I solved my issues with saving my custom F16 MFD profiles. Turns out I was trying to adapt a profile from an earlier version of DCS that was, apparently, incompatible. I deleted all previous custom profiles to return to the default. Then in OPTIONS I made all the key reassignments and saved the new profile. BINGO! Functions flawlessly, now, with rotated MFD's. Apologies to ED.
