Simple Training Missions

I'd like to use the Mission Editor to create some simple training missions for myself. I'm flying the F-15C and for a start I just want to drop some way points on the map that will be loaded in my ac nav system when I start the mission.

 

Looking at the manual I'm not sure if I should start with Place Airplane Group? Eventually I'd like to add some ac targets to practice using the various radar modes.

 

Would I use Create IP Nav Point to enter waypoints?

 

Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated :)

Start by looking at EDs missions first and pick up some ideas there.
