  2. Anyway, I was excited about the progress I made and I have to vent it somewhere. I should release a new version within a 1-2 weeks. Barring unforeseen complications, the following new functions will be included (plus a few others perhaps): mapobj_destroyed_in_zone()- just like it's named, it detects if a map object has been destroyed within a zone. The zone will be placed just like any other using the mission editor. Once the function is called with a unit's triggered action, then if the requisite number of map objects are destroyed within that zone (default is 1, but the user will able to optionally specify a number higher than this), then a flag is set. Anyway, the older, mapobj_destroyed function that requires an id will persist, as I've made the promise to keep supporting all old functions going back to chatIOlibv1, but I expect that except in a few rare cases, the mapobj_destroyed_in_zone function will be preferable. units_LOS: Sets a flag based on whether or not a unit or set of units is line of sight to another unit or set of units. Great for "surprise" missions when you want to simulate radar detection by early warning radars. units_hitting: A really powerful function I have been having some fun with. This function will set a flag if a unit(s) hit another unit(s) with a weapon. Additionally, if additional input variables are specified, the function can even output a text, chat, or both text and chat message that includes the name of the unit doing the shooting, and/or the name of the unit getting shot (such as "KNOCK IT OFF 16th Speed!!! YOU'RE SHOOTING AT FRIENDLIES!!!). Anyway,I used this function to make a funny little target recognition mission. Friendly and enemy units are mixed together with their AI off. The mission briefing includes images of all the unit types, friendly and enemy. If you hit three friendly units, your aircraft gets blown up!!! Another example might be this: say you have a helo coming in to drop off troops. If the helo starts getting hit by small arms fire coming from a group of AK-47s on a roof of some building, then you could make the helo say: "We're taking small arms fire from a group of enemy personnel on top of the large building to the east!!". Or if the helo starts taking fire from a Zu-23, then you could make it say "We're taking heavy AAA fire!!!" and then, because the function also sets a flag, you could make the helo break off its approach and return to an orbit somewhere else, make it RTB, trigger an Apache to come kill the Zu-23, etc. The possibilities are exciting! Anyway, I also hope to include a units_firing() function that allows you to detect when units start shooting weapons (even specific weapon types). So you could have a trigger that plays the sound "FOX 3!" every time one of the F-15s doing CAP shoots an AMRAAM. But most importantly, starting this weekend, I am going to start making the youtube video guides and all the example missions on how to use the mod. It's going to be a chore... building is a lot more fun that explaining. Additionally, I am finally going to bite the bullet and fully test the Servman version.

  3. Yes so just trash the Cougar and the people who like them as you always seem to do. That is your point right? Listen man, anyone can grab a CH and claim all the same BS you are just to make it look bad. You are a CH user right? So is your reviewer friend, who also shares your low opinion of the Cougar right? I am sure he would know how to work with a Cougar and give it an honest effort before trashing it as well right? Food for thought. And I say again the people you had helping you didn't know what they were doing and that is obvious or you would have had a working HOTAS Cougar like just about everyone else that owns and uses them. I only post to make sure no one else is misinformed by your always having and making trouble where no one else is and does. I know I know, you are just trying to help. You obviously dislike the Cougar so much that I should think you would have recused yourself from rendering opinion after opinon about it (all bad) as often as you possibly can always under the guise of helping. Particularly since you must know by now that you are the exception and not the rule. It is just too obvious to any one that has read your posts on the Cougar. Maybe you just have too much time on your hands. Out

Вопрос к разработчикам этой серии "симуляторов" которые заявляют о стремлении к реалу, как УР "Бастион" которая входит в БК БМП3 имея бронепробиваемость — 550—600 мм http://ptyr.narod.ru/13_1.htm оничтожает абрамс в лоб 1 штукой...ну про вихри уже было написано выше. Если открыть справочник что в а10 что ка50 и просмотреть характеристики вооружений то мы увидим что хеллфаер имеет вес бч 8 кг как у вихря...про расход тех и других ракет на уничтожение абрамса повторять думаю нет смысла, да что там хеллфаеры да вихри ...абрамсы уничтожались из рпг7 и прочих рпг http://armor.kiev.ua/Tanks/Modern/Abrams/oops/ http://video.mail.ru/mail/warlord109/395/83.html где четко видны отверстия от кумулятивной струи, собссно снимки подтверждают данные из открытых источников, бронепрбиваемость рпг7 до 750 и броня м1а2 57мм что в пересчете на RHAe будет 510мм, корма ессно тоньше, и возьмем вихрь с его 1000мм бронепробиваемостью и если я не ошибаюсь то это без пересчета на RHA а в пересчете это будет еще больше бронепробиваемость. По основным ЗРК С300 и пэтриот ну тут вообще полный "реализм", оказывается пэтриот стреляет дальше чем с300, поставте в редакторе ПУ с300 и на нее сверху ПУ пэтриот и сравните круги (дальность поражения) так меньший круг пэтриота равен большему кругу с300....хмм это как??? а теперь лезем во внутренний справочник а там все наоборот с300 дальнобойней чем пэтриот а если сравнить с реальными данными то тут вообще будет избиение младенца (в роли младенца будет пэтриот), да еще в реале пэтриоту для работы нужен спутник раннего оповещения и в случае выведения из строя онного пэтриот тупо не успеет среагировать на угрозу, чем дальше в лес тем больше дров. Кто-то тут на форуме предложил ED сделать патч полностью посвященный вооружению, и если ED решиться это сделать, то этот патч будет далеко не маленького размера

  6. It is just there so you know it is on. To turn it off you need to right click on the taskbar bring up the properties applet. The left tab has a check box near the bottom. Uncheck it and it will turn AeroPeek off.

  8. I managed to find a fix for my problem, I don't know if it will help anyone else. I right clicked on the small box on the right hand side of the taskbar and turned "Peek at desktop" off and haven't had the issue since. :)

All buildings available in ME please I would like to request that all DCS building models from F:\Program files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Bazar\Terrain\Structures\ be made available in the ME for placement as static structures. This would allow Mission builders to expand cities, make more targets and even recreate missing cities in some cases. i created a thread asking for a mod in this regard but it really is something that should be included in a patch.
