OK, got Lockon Platinum up and running, trying to learn it now. Made one runway landing in an A-10, love it. But still got that Superbug on the Carl Vinson in the back of my mind. Where do I get it? Ripcord

OK, then here is my next question... I know FC has a pretty robust mission editor/builder, or I have heard that. Can one design missions for FC2 that involve AI and player aircraft launching from and recovering on the carrier (eg, like in Janes FA-18 )? Look, if this thing is only $20 I'll probably go get it, so I'll find out for myself, but I was just curious and thought I would ask. Still cannot get excited about the Black Sea theatre (served there in RL), but I am VERY excited about the possibility of Carrier Ops and New Theatres being in the works. Ripcord

Ron, Question for you -- will this US naval carrier ops mod work on LOMAC Platimum. I was kinda leaning toward picking that up and starting to get into LOMAC. If I can fly off the boat, then I am really interested. Somebody has a Russian Far East / Chinese border terrain mod in the works that is BEGGING for some US Carrier ops out in the Sea of Japan (no US carrier will ever venture in the Black Sea, but still, kinda fun if no other choices are available). No really I suppose it is hard to tell from the angle on these photos, but really have I have pretty good height under that center console -- 24" for sure, as you can see that 24" x 48" plywood panel fits right under there. The only part of this pit is getting carefully so as not to slam ones crotch into that little holder where the joystick sits. I am going to go back and saw/sand the edges on the bottom, just for a little added wiggle room there. :smilewink: Also yes I have two X-keys units in there, considering adding one or two more. Take a look at my project -- still in process but getting close to being usable now. :joystick: It will be used to fly FSX, Janes FA-18 and DCS A-10C when it comes out. The thing will go in front of an 8' screen with overhead projector, and incorporates 4 mini LCD monitors and 2 touchscreens, on top of X-keys and a ton of Saitek pro flight gear (that can be only used with FSX).
