Last thing from me on that debate, this is China, its nothing new and wont be the last time. So many things get copied or cloned over there. It seems some are on the warpath, maybe rightly so, but its not in the communitys interests to see it fail, yet some seem desperate and more or less stalking all reddit posts and youtube vids determined to see it fail. Of course they should release the code but will they? likely not. As for the current other ones, with animals and small children those exposed cogs etc I see as a big no......hell I'd prob snag my droopy testicles on it, and I waiting for the WinWing offering is likely going to be too long for my sanity, aswell as only having a Thrustmaster grip

Took the chance and bought (minus the Z-Axis while I decide whether I want that or the Virpil 20cm S curve) . £466.65 with VAT included. Can't see it arriving in time for xmas, but thats no big deal to me, I'd be too busy on xmas day anyway Certainly excited to receive it, I really missed the old MS FFB stick of old, once they stopped releasing game ports for pcs and went to USB

I get the software issue rubbing a lot up the wrong way, though it certainly isnt the first or the last of companies to do this. I'm torn on the order, theres a 15% off black friday code, though I dont have much info on the company (but thats where credit cards come in handy for protection I guess). I'd love to get the upgraded FFBeast for stronger performance etc...though I've no idea how developed that is on the software front, which ultimately boils down to, and code-stealing aside, Moza are established in the sim market And then to decide if I want the Z-Axis 10cm extension too, in theory the Z axis is could for space games, but obviously in locked mode for DCS, though seems no space games are supported yet anyway....and a little bit steep, or I could go for similar price VPC Flightstick S curve Extension, though seems to be hit and miss comments wise on if its that bit too long Oh, on that note, can anyone with the Z-Axis 10cm extension confirm it works no issus with the Warthog regular grip as thats what I'd be using It kinda sucks that it basically looks impossible to use on eg a regular desk cos of its height (The MS Sidewinder of ye olde days was no problem in that respect. I do have a GT Omega Prime cockpit tho its disassembled at moment so regular desk back in place. I'll get the clamp however which no doubt come in useful edit: I guess the chance of getting any sort of future discount on the AB9 for the near future is going to be rare so makes sense for me to order, with the downside of possibly longer wait and likely not in time for xmas, aswell as the risk of a smaller company. I mainly can't decide on the z axis extension if I need it or not haha (never had/used one - I like the idea of S curve one, though yeah maybe that bit too big if it drastically reduces the effects or harder to mount

Is there anywhere to see the changelog when there are updates, or only shown within the app? So tempted to order right now, though likely wont come in time for xmas but oh well. Any of you guys wish you jumped to the VPForce or FFBeast in the end?

Next level racing HF8 haptic seat pad & DCS
Feverdog replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Some recent videos suggest the HF8s own software has been significantly improved, eg says "improved framerate from 15fps now 75fps (around 5mins in - i'm assuming thats frequency rather than fps) so in theory should be more responsive and more refined. Can't see any recent videos for flight sims though -
Thats bad for me if comes to it with it being a competition giveaway (but hope it won't come to this)

I doubt RB would be daft enough to plant a time bomb intentionally into the code, if so then they must surely tarnish all trust with the other companies they work with IF I opt for a refund credit however, I received my F15 on a YouTube giveaway, so does that mean the credit will only go to the person who gave me it? Or will I receive the full value myself (obv not knowing how the YouTuber funded this either) Id likely opt for the Chinook or Afghanistan with the credit I think, and rebuy the f15 once dramas are over

[NO LONGER PASSES IC] Improved Contact Dot Spotting (Updated v1.1)
Feverdog replied to Why485's topic in DCS Modding
as the result seem to be mixed for VR due to the different models and techniques (not tried), would make sense to perhaps not incorporate for VR play but seems a necessity for pancake mode to be fair for all. A few downvotes seem to be based on VR testing, or not understanding how it works/the earlier build etc, so think the VR side would need seperate investigation, so I daresay the actual result of poll is higher than 95 if discount a few for user error or VR application -
[NO LONGER PASSES IC] Improved Contact Dot Spotting (Updated v1.1)
Feverdog replied to Why485's topic in DCS Modding
Please ED adopt/adapt this, it levels the playing field much more and I can barely enjoy actual combat in DCS at 4k even on a 55" screen up close due to the issue, but the screen also displays 1080p poorly due to not being native resolution making that "cheating" option even worse -

If you bought your update on Steam and play on standalone. Rebind your licenses today, it finds a 2nd 2.0 license. Once added, it now works fine

Sorry just spotted this thread, add me to the MeToo movement. Channel update bought on steam, never owned 1.0. I have 1.0 block graphics. Tried on standalone. Have the wrong licenses been allocated to everyone that bought for 1.0? Checking my ED profile though, it does say show " DCS: Normandy 1944 Map DCS: Normandy 2.0 Map " among my transferred licenses (when I synced licenses it only told me 2.0 was going to be added) In the module manager page it only shows 1944 as installed, I see some photos on here with people showing 2.0 on that page

Bought the Channel update from Steam, I dont own 1944, but, I always have the low texture version. I've never owned 1944. Played on standalone version

Ohhhh that one is a new listing!! Thank you
-
Still no solution or confirmation offered for Steam Channel only owners though who want to buy the upgrade on Steam

The $10 one doesn't show on the main DCS page - but if use the Steam app, find DCS in Library, and 3 option links show in there (the 3rd being the full price module)
