  1. F/A-18C 'Game' is what I am attempting to bind. It is the only aircraft that I have purchased separate from the free versions that come with DCS. The free ones I believe are the SU-33 and the P-51. 'General' is another option, and frankly is the exact same table as that of the F/A-18C 'Game' that I am initially attempting to bind. Joystick is Thrustmaster Warthog, Throttle is Winwing Taurus, Slaw Device rudder. TrackIR centering bound fine to one of the buttons on the Stick. I appreciate your help, dont really understand which have pre-defined .lua files or what that even is. Some kind of driver that I should be downloading?
  2. From the Home Page of DCS: I click on the gear symbol to get into settings… I click on the Controls Tab at the top… The big categorized table of ‘actions’ that can be bound/mapped to the various buttons, rudder movements, keys on keyboards, TrackIR, pops up. Perfect, just like everyone else… Unfortunately, my list of available ‘actions’ is very limited in comparison with what others have. I watched the Matt Wagner video on binding the controls, he (and I assume everyone) has thousands of actions that could potentially be bound. Pages and pages of them! Example, when Wags is within the ‘All’ category, the first eleven Action items are AAP functions. When I am in the ‘All’ category I don’t have any AAP action items. He has so many that he can limit his search to just the category ‘AAP’. I am not so sure that I need to necessarily bind a bunch of autopilot commands to my throttle, but I don’t have the option. The biggest problem is that my list does not include anything that begins with ‘HOTAS’ or have that category … Do I have some toggle button turned off? How do I get the full table of actions?
  3. I typically have very fast internet speed at the house; AT&T advertised as high as 100Mb/sec but realistically it is closer to 65 for most downloads. A week ago, I purchased the Syria Map. It downloaded at around 1.8M/s to 2.0M/s. I just left it alone and it eventually downloaded, but somewhere in the range of five hours to do so!
  4. Post # 9 The magnetic plate on a Thrustmaster Base is easily removed via four screws for different mounting solutions -or- the magnetic plate itself could be bolted down to a mounting plate if that were to be sized correctly. To table clamp it to my set-up: First choice would be to purchase a Foxx Mount; unfortunately Foxx has been out of business for several months, with comments that they may be back 'soon' Monstertech currently is back ordered 4-weeks before they will even begin an order, which does not conform to my definition of 'soon' any more so than the Foxx :music_whistling: Third choice, but I think Im gonna have to pull the trigger on it is the J-Pein, at least it is available :joystick:
  5. Um, not sure what I am missing and/or whose post. The original post reads “Is there any word on when Foxx Mount will resume taking orders?” This thread started many months ago, the OP asked the question. Perhaps it was answered to his satisfaction, perhaps not. Never the less, the thread die. Two days ago, I resurrected this as I have the exact same question. I am interested in acquiring a Foxx Table Mount for my ThrustMaster Warthog Flightstick base. If there is a used one out there for sale, I would be interested in a purchase. If anyone knows the Foxx Mount gentleman, knows if he is in business, I am interested in that information as well. I am interested because I would like to purchase his product, it has a reputation for being of high quality. I will purchase an alternative brand if the Foxx Mount product is not going to become available ‘soon’. For many months now, the Foxx Mount website has indicated “Hey folks, hang tight the web store will be coming soon! –Foxx”. Mr. Foxx has reportedly also posted to the HOTAS Discord in which he indicated that product would be available ‘soon’. The term ‘soon’ is subjective in nature. My definition of what that timeframe is, may not be the same as others. If you have a used one for sale, please let me know.
  6. I am in the market for a Foxx Mount for a Thrustmaster Stick; the website is still not active. Does anyone know if they will ever be back?
  7. What do you all think is the best way to go? I've got TrackIR, HOTAS and Throttle with lots of buttons, tryin to figure out a good monitor config.
  8. Does Thrustmaster sell the Warthog Base and F-18 Flight Stick together as a package? I see where it is possible to purchase them separately @ $150+$203, but was wondering if that is the only way? Appears you get the A-10 package together for about $240.
  9. Thank you for the replies. From the sounds of it, you can actually run the program and fly the airplane without any HOTAS or Joystick by simply utilzing the compter keyboard and mouse exclusively? To me, that honestly doesn't sound like the greatest of fun if you were to do that. Doesn't seem like it would even fall into the relm of a simulator at that point, but maybe I am wrong in that thought. Watching YouTube videos, even though they are using top end equipment, it appears that some functions are still completed using the computer mouse - clicking toggles, buttons, etc., particularly when starting from a cold start. Is that really the situation? Are you using your computer mouse or is that accomplished with a button on the stick or throttle?
  10. Good afternoon all, my first post here and I dont even know if this is the correct section to be asking this! I currently don’t own a version of DCS, nor have I ever played it. Only seen it in YouTube videos however am very interested in a potential setup. I have been doing some homework on hardware components, budgetary purposes type of research. Stick, throttle, rudder pedals, TrackIR, headset, etc. It appears that a guy could go cheap to start with, or outlay some cash and buy quality components right from the beginning. Unfortunately, if a guy were to make the decision to purchase the good stuff to begin with, a huge problem is that those items are typically out of stock, like you would need to get onto some type of waiting list! Am I wrong in that? Are there unknown vendors that have items stocked but these folk are simply not easily found via a Google search? Or is it that I basically would be forced to buy the inexpensive stuff while the quality items are on backorder, knowing that those initial purchases will be a throw away?
