  1. Let me be even more specific. The easy avionics mode activated by pressing '2' (the sort of TWS/RWS mode) allows me to target maybe one aircraft. Maybe. Switching to new targets doesn't work after locking up the first aircraft. On the other hand, modes '4' and '6' work just fine. Maybe I'm not using mode '2' correctly? Anything I should be doing differently?
  2. For the F-15, when you lock up a target, the green box around the target doesn't stay centered on it, doesn't seem to happen much on the Russian birds, but it sure does on the Eagle. Missiles completely fail to guide. Also, for ALL birds, when in A2A 'mode', if I switch to another mode (like A2G or NAV) when I return to A2A, I can no longer target anything. At all. In some cases, I've been in A2A mode, not touched anything, and couldn't switch between more than two targets before the auto-lock-on-to-next-target key stopped working altogether.
  3. Viper, thanks for the constant contact on the bug fixes. Really appreciate it. Any plans to tweak the simplified avionics a little better for us folks who fly with training wheels?
  4. Really, REALLY glad to hear there's going to be a new Su-33 campaign. I'll be all over that like a duck on a cricket. Wags, the single-player content is shaping up nicely. Y'all keep up the good work.
  5. No. Target reticle still leaves the target.
  6. Jammer does not seem to make an appreciable difference. Missiles still going dumb. Way dumb.
  7. The acquisition reticle for the Russian birds will blink for a second or two, the F-15's reticle won't even stay on its target.
  8. First, let me say that I am one of those folks who does use the Game avionics and have no plans to try to learn the Sim avionics because I simply lack the time and do not have a full HOTAS and rudder pedal setup. Second, let me also say that the A-10C and BS2 Game Avionics are absolute GENIUS. I have been hunting for a decent successor to Jane's F-15 for years and I finally have it in A-10C and BS2. OK, to the bugs. This is true of all FC3 fighter aircraft. The same thing happens, no matter which plane I'm using and I know that in large part, it is due to the fact that we are stuck with ancient LOMAC architecture for FC and that includes the avionics. 1.) I can use the auto-lock-on key to target a plane and the little red square boxes in the targeted plane, but the green box (in the F-15 HUD) doesn't want to stay on the targeted plane. Any weapons fired at the target will fail to guide about 75% of the time. This is especially true of the Great White Hope, the AIM-7. The Russian aircraft do a little better in this regard. The Fulcrum and Flanker's locked reticle (the green circle) will stay on the targeted aircraft. However, again, most weapons fired will go dumb and fail to guide, about 75-80% of the time. 2.) I can usually switch to and engage a maxiumum of two targets before I can no longer switch to any new targets no matter how much I press the auto-lock-on-to-next-target key. The avionics just go dead. Nothing happens. Now, I know my concerns are very low on the totem pole because most of the users here use the Sim settings. Just thought I'd mention these. Or, you could always figure out how to put the Game avionics from A-10C and BS2 in there and I'd be absolutely thrilled.
  9. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have long wondered if this is true, I being one of those guys who uses the easy avionics. I have a wife, kids, and two jobs. I simply do not have time to devote to learning a myriad of button sequences, getting killed on step 7 of 65. That's not really fun. "Well, who plays these things for FUN?" I cannot begin to explain how absolutely awesome A-10C's simplified avionics are. I wish that all of the weapons could be easily deployable using the simplified systems, but I take what I can get. I wish the FC3 aircraft used it, but I know they need LOMAC for basic architecture, so I understand why they use the original's version. And it's not like the developmental process is a zero-sum game. Hardcore avionics don't suffer because resources are used to develop simplified avionics to bring in casual users as customers. At the end of the day, we want lots of people buying DCS World if we want this to be successful and give us the game we want. This series has the potential to be all things to all people. I encourage that.
  10. It is a beta, y'all. Let's belay the kvetching until the final release comes out.
  11. Is there any chance that the simplified avionics found in A-10C could be ported to FC3? Pretty please? For those of us who fly with training wheels? Because it has to be one of the most well-thought-out gameplay aspects for flight simulation I've seen in a very long time.
  12. To the OP, don't feel bad. I fly it with labels on as well, otherwise, I'd never know where anything is.
  13. I tried using a deactivation, (didn't work, someone may need to tell me how to do this) and I've got four left after changing out some PC components. Who and how do I contact someone for addtional activations for my FC2 product. pfunk
  14. What do you need to edit the .lua files? pfunk
  15. How can I get some tutorials on how to use them? I can't seem to find them in the manual that installed with FC2. pfunk
