i installed fc2 in the c:\program files (x86) folder. the setup-program created a shortcut on my desktop. this icon i use for starting the game. i also installed bs in the same folder. it was found in the same "eagle dynamics" folder, as fc2 is also and still there. then i uninstalled bs and installed it into c:\eagle dynamics as someone in this thread told me to do. also bs placed 2 icons on my desktop. one for single player and one for multiplayer. when i hit the multiplayericon, the requester for the registration key pops up. i never filled in the key, becasue i can use it only 7 times and i allread installed/uninstalled/installed the game 3 or 4 times. when i hut the singleplayer icon, the mentioned system errormessage pops up after 2-3 seconds. i leaved a picture of this message in this thread some posts before. let me know if you need some more special informations greetings andi

i have all latest toshiba drivers on my system. i check every month if there are new drivers availible. especially for the bs problem, i looked again yesterday. greetings andi

hallo, leider ist keines dieser files im temp ordner zu finden. liegt eventuell daran, dass ich das programm noch niemals starten konnte und beim versuch es zu starten gleich nach sehr wenigen sekunden die windows systemmeldung "launcher.exe funktioniert nicht mehr" kommt. auf meinem system ist die dx-version 11 ... hatte ich gestern nochmal nachgeschaut. gruß andi

hello, form grafik card there is only one windows 7 driver availible. Checked it yesterday. no other of the mentioned programms have problems with the grafic card or its drivers. also lock on fc 2.0 not. i can not belive, that only this one peace of software can have trouble with the driver. if so, the programmers maybe can fix it, because for me it sounds like a bs programming problem. greetings andi

this i will try today evening. what i can tell you now is, that i know that the requester for the serial number pops up, when i hit the multiplayer icon. i was afraid to enter the registration key there, unless the single player dont works, because now i allready installed the game 3 or 4 times new and i can use the key 7 times.. right ? also the checkdisk suggestion i ill test today later. greetings andi

hallo, nein fc 1.2b benutze ich nicht, nur 2.0 ich kann heute mal das ganze auf d: installieren. wundert mich aber, dass fc 2.0 auf c: (sogar in program files (x86) )funktioniert. ich werde dann nochmal alles deinstallieren und auf d oder e installieren. gruß andi

makes no sence. i installed this bs now 3 times. why should only this peace of software will habe broken files ? all other software also on the same partition c: dont have problems. i dont know why you thinks that files are broken ........ after doubleclicking the desktop icon of singleplayer bs, there will appear a ka-50 picture and 2 seconds later the error message about the launcher.exe pops up. the picture of this error message, you can find in this thread. greetings andi p.s. if i hit your "See troubleshooter for CHKDSK" link, i cant find anything about chkdsk :)

i installed the game and tried to start it ... didnt do anything between. by the way .... the game never started ... how to set up something in the game ? clicking the desktop icon an then the "launcher.exe dont works anymore" failure pops up after 3 seconds. never had the chance to start the game. in rthis thread i posted a picture of the error message, which popps up all time

im very happy about your support. maybe sometimes i sound to rough, but this is only due to language/translation lags :) empire worked here from the first day on :) .. there i had luck .... but to be serious .... at the moment i use rome tw, medieval2 +kingdoms, napoleon, red orchestra, il-2 1946, lock on, lock on fc2, battlefield vietnam, fia 09, fifa10, pes2010, nhl 09, silent hunter 3,4 and 5 without any problems up today.

tried it many times, today after 2 hours of deinstalling, installing and trying, i tried this again without any success sent an email to the support team, but looks like they dont find any time to answer. very frustrating all in all my problem is also placed in the german section, but there are not to many users and answers can need some time. 39 usd for something, where i have to spend tonns of hours to make it run is really worse. i guess i allready waste 6-7 hours until now. very expensive game :)

this is what i also read before somewhere and thats the reason (ok one reason) why i bought bs. maybe the german download version is broke ? md5 checksum fits 100% lock on fc2 is only availible in english version .............. works perfect fc2 is installed in the program files (x86) folder and it works ... thats why i installed bs also there first time im a former german army aviation anti tank helicopter pilot, so im much more interested in playing bs :)

no i didnt stopped antivirus while installation. one time i stopped the program antivir, because i tried this and that and others without any success. while installation, antivir was alltime active. have also some hints, that the software called "antivir" dont makes any problems, but their programmers change alltime something and noone knows. btw. lock on and lock on fc2 works fine here file system is ntfs ....

tried it ....same error : cannot open.\BlackShark\BlackShark.lua : no such file or directory tried it then in the "C:\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50" folder, as the desktopicon also writes. then i dont get the error message as described before, then i get the same error message as when i start it with the desktop icon "launcher.exe dont works anymore"

fresh installation (the 3rd one). md5 check is passed. the downloadfiles are ok. didnt installed the patch >>>> same problem "gamelauncher stopped to work" ... game dont starts. uac is off since long time ...checked it again ... still off (slider is at the bottom). also installed as admin and started to play as admin .... nothing works. this makes me a but angry now.

ja bc, hatte mich vor lauter ärger verschrieben gehabt. key habe ich nun und bs nun zum 3. mal installiert, das teil startet aber nicht mit jeweild der meldung "launcher.exe funktioniert nicht mehr" setup als admin ausgeführt und das spiel hatte ich ja vorher schon immer als admin ausgeführt, aber leider geht rein gar nichts. die benutzersteuerung ist bei mir schon seit langem aus, daran kann es nicht liegen. md5 checksummen sind getestet, alles i.o.

@goose81 ich werde mal die md5 summen überprüfen und ansonsten nochmal neu downloaden. danaach werde ich auch das setup als admin durchführen und dann mal schaun, ob sich etwas tut. 1.01c ist installiert und ich nutze antivir als virensoftware vielen dank für die tips schonmal @feuerfalke, hier mal einige beispiele, die ich bei mir installiert habe und die ohne jegliches problem funktionieren: empire, napoleon, medieval 2 +kingdoms, rome tw, il-2 1946, lock on, lock on fc2, red orchestra, daoc, silent hunter 3, 4 und 5, fifa09, fifa10, pes2010, nhl09, battlefield vietnam. alles lief auch unter windows 7 64 bit auf anhieb und problemlos bis heute.

1 - what is via controlpanel ? 2 - uac is allready disabled 4 5 - i installed bc allready in an other folder then progam files ... its now direct on c: 6. patch is also installed 7. there are 2 desktopicons .... when i hit the singleplayer version i get the error "launcher.exe ist not working anymore (sounds like this ...i translated from the german error message) 8. i will do it, if i someday can start the game :)

also wenn meine ati karte bei genau einem einzigen spiel probleme macht, dann kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass die wirkliche ursache die ati treiber oder die ati karte ist. der tipp mit der seriennummer hat auf alle fälle geholfen, nun hoffe ich, dass ich diese auch mal benutzen kann, weil ich das spiel leider nach zig versuchen noch immer nicht starten kann wegen dieses launcher.exe fehlers also lock on original version 1.02 und auch lock on fc 2.0 funktionieren bestens mit meinem system.

i used the icon on the desktop, which bs created itself. i installed it first in the pfrogram files (x86) folder, as win7 recommended at the installationprozess. after nothing worked, i uninstalled it and installed it direct in c:\eagle dynamics\ ...... no idea what to try now.

btw. i tried to start the game as i read here in the forum someware in a dosbox with "C:\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\stable\Launcher.exe" --console then i get the error message cannot open.\BlackShark\BlackShark.lua : no such file or directory. funny ... such a file is in the folder c:\eagle dynamics\ka-50\BlackShark\BlackSharl.lua size is 27.180 dated 05.05.2009 DxDiag.txt
